We are happy to announce the release of Citrix Receiver 12.7 for Mac. We continue to stick to our tradition of supporting every Apple OS from day Zero where we released Receiver 7.3 for iOS to support iOS11 on September. Now, Citrix Receiver 12.7 for Mac is compatible with macOS 10.13 – code named High Sierra from day Zero. Generic USB Redirection in Receiver for Mac with macOS High Sierra With macOS High Sierra 10.13, Apple has introduced a new feature where user approval is required to load any newly-installed third-party kernel extensions (KEXTs). Receiver 12.7 for Mac requires Citrix-signed kernel extension to be loaded for Generic USB Redirection to function properly. Users can approve Citrix kernel extension by going to System Preferences > Security & Privacy directly or you can click on the Devices menu from Desktop Toolbar or Citrix Viewer Menu to be redirected to the Security & Privacy tab. On Security & Privacy tab approve loading of Citrix Kernel by clicking “Allow” to enable Generic USB Redirection. Upgrade to Receiver for Mac 12.3 which is compatible with this OS. 6 Delivering a proxy.pac file to clients via NetScaler Session Policies works for Windows devices but now Mac. Note: If you already have Citrix Receiver 12.7 for Mac or earlier versions installed on your macOS, and you upgrade to macOS High Sierra, approval is automatically granted to Citrix kernel extension. Smart card Authentication with Native Receiver With Receiver 12.7 for Mac, users can authenticate to native Receiver for Mac using smart cards. This is in addition to the browser-based smart card access. We continue to support smart card based authentication to StoreFront 2.x or above, XenDesktop 7.1 or above, and XenApp 6.5 or above. SNI Support Now you can use Receiver connection to NetScaler Gateway with Server Name Indication (SNI) configured so that users can launch desktops and applications successfully without additional configuration. ![]() For more information on SNI, see Knowledge Center article Support and Compatibility Receiver 12.7 will be supported on MacOS 10.10 and above. However, note that Receiver 12.7 will be the last version to support MacOS10.10 and will be deprecated from Receiver 12.8.
